CVS Frugal Deals 8/02

IMG_3952

So I went to CVS Sunday morning.  I did 3 transactions, and ended up going to 2 stores.  The first store I was at only had 2 electrasols on the shelf and they didn’t have anymore, they said they ones they ordered didn’t come on the truck.  The  next store I went to had plenty. I ended up paying a little more cash than I wanted because I gave the wrong ECB’s.  Just so you know I do make mistakes all the time.  When I first started  couponing and CVSing I used to get upset with  myself for doing this, and it would  be sometimes over just a few cents.  Now I know it’s not a big deal and I can do better next time.  Anyway, here are the frugal deals I got.

Transaction #1

I Bought:
2 Stayfree pads $5 each
Blink tears $7.99
CVS kids scissors $2.99
Subtotal: $21.82 tax included

Coupons used:
-$4.00 CVS coupon emailed to me $4/$20 purchase
-$5.00 Stayfree BOGO MQ
-$3.00 Blink tears $3/1 MQ
Subtotal: $12.00

I Received:
$5 ECB Stayfree buy  $10 get $5 ECB
$7.99 ECB Blink Tears
$2.99 ECB Scissors
Subtotal: $15.98

I paid with $8 ECB from last week, and $1.82 cash.  I actually had $6.16 in overage after this first transactions after ECB.

Transaction #2

I Bought:
2 Electrasol 20 ct Tabs $4.50 each
1 CVS 20 ct Pens .99
1 CVS 10 ct Pencils .99
2 Caliber 1 sub. notebooks .99 each
1 CVS 5” scissors $2.99
1 Caliber Protractor $1.50
2 Caliber Glue Sticks 3 pk .99 each
1 Newspaper $1.50
Subtotal: $22.48 tax included

Coupons Used:
-$5.00 Electrasol used 2 $2.50/1 MQ
Subtotal: -$5.00

I Received:
$1.98 ECB Pens and Pencils
$1.98 ECB Notebooks
$1.98 ECB Glue Sticks
$1.50 ECB Protractor
$2.99 ECB Scissors
Subtotal: $10.43 ECB

Here is where I paid too much cash.  I paid with 2 $5ECB’s, and $2.99 ECB, making  the cash I paid $4.49.  I should have used the $7.99 ECB, $5 ECB and $2.99 ECB, which would have the cash I spent only $1.50 instead of $4.49.  So total cost for this transaction was $7.05.

Transaction #3 Store #2

I Bought:
3 Electrasol 20 ct power tabs $4.50 each
1 Caliber Compass $1.50
Subtotal: $16.20 tax included

Coupons Used:
-$2.50 Electrasol MQ
Subtotal: -$2.50

I Received:
$10 ECB Electrasol (Spend $20 get $10 ECB)
$1.50 ECB Compass
Subtotal: $11.50 ECB

So on this transaction I paid with $11.95 in ECB, and $1.75 cash.  So total Cost was $2.20.

So after all 3 transactions my total cost for all of theses item was $3.09 after coupons and ECB!  That’s pretty good if you ask me.
